 ovember.\n\nA native of Queens\, New York\, Gil Troy is a Professor of His
 tory at McGill and a Visiting Scholar at the Bipartisan Policy Center in W
 ashington\, D.C. \n\nHe is the author of several books\, including History
  of American Presidential Elections\, 1789-2008\, Morning in America: How 
 Ronald Reagan Invented the 1980s and Hillary Rodham Clinton: Polarizing Fi
