Join the McGill Alumni Association of Calgary as we stroll back in history with local historian Tracey J. Johnson and an intrepid group of McGill Alumni to discover just what used to exist in the tucked away neighborhoods of Rideau/Roxboro. From brickyards to TV stations to sandstone ruins, this community has plenty of fascinating history and has gone through tremendous changes over the years.
Whether you're a local or a visitor, this walking tour is a perfect way to explore iconic sites that tell the story of Calgary's past, gain unique perspectives from our guide, and connect with your fellow McGillians in the region.
We look forward to seeing you there!

The tour is fast paced covering a lot of ground (approximately 3.5 km in length). Towards the end of the tour to reach the final two stops, the group will be walking up a steep hill on uneven terrain, and then down a steep city street.
