The McGill Alumni Association of Geneva Book Club is delighted to welcome old and new members alike to our next meeting where we will be discussing Basic Black with Pearls by Canadian writer Helen Weinzweig, a recipient of the Governor General's Award for English-language fiction.

Deemed a lost feminist classic, the book caught the attention of the editorial boards at the New York Review of Books, the Paris Review and The New York Times, and has been described as "equal parts domestic drama and international intrigue."

We are also pleased to announce that the writer's son, Daniel Weinzweig, will be joining us at the meeting to discuss the book and his mother's legacy.

New joiners are always welcome but must RSVP by email in advance with erin.surprenant@mail.mcgill.ca in case there are any scheduling changes.

Looking forward to seeing you there for this special book club event!
