Friday, March 17, 2023
5:30 PM to 8 PM EDT

As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, the McGill Muslim Alumni Society (MMAS), with support from the International Development and Relief Foundation (IDRF) are presenting a seminar on Zakat and Islamic financial responsibilities. The seminar aims to introduce Muslim professionals and McGill alumni to the laws and recommendations for giving the obligatory Zakat, to support those in need around the world.

From different forms of Zakat, Zakat calculations, and modern-day applications in our current society's economic climate, this informative session will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of how to manage your wealth and meet your financial obligations while adhering to Islamic Law. Following the session, attendees will have a chance to network over light refreshments.

We look forward to having you join us!
