mRNA: From COVID vaccine to cancer vaccine

Wednesday, November 16, 2022
7 PM to 9 PM EST

Learn how the Rosalind & Morris Goodman Cancer Institute at McGill University is translating research into practice: From COVID vaccine to cancer vaccine.
The keynote speaker at this fall's public lecture is Avak Kahvejian, who earned his PhD and BSc in Biochemistry from McGill University. A general partner at Flagship Pioneering, Avak will discuss his experience inventing and launching new therapeutic platforms. Avak's remarks will serve as a kick-off for a panel discussion between four GCI scientists about transforming mRNA research into treatments and approaches that can tackle cancer's greatest challenges. The panel will be moderated by Prof. Joe Schwarz.
