ONLINE: Examining Russia's War on Ukraine
Examining Russia's War on Ukraine
ONLINE: Examining Russia's War on Ukraine
When Russian forces invaded Ukraine, much of the world was caught off guard. What were the Kremlin's initial intentions, and have they changed in the face of fierce Ukrainian resistance and economic sanctions imposed by the West? What are the possible pathways to peace? And how has this war reshaped the way we think about Russia and the West three decades after the end of the Cold War.

Join us at our next Made by McGill alumni webcast when we speak with two McGill professors who specialize in understanding political developments in post-Communist Europe to break down the root causes of the war and what it might ultimately mean for the world's security.

Featuring:

Juliet Johnson, Professor, Department of Political Science; author of the award-winning Priests of Prosperity: How Central Bankers Transformed the Postcommunist World.

Maria Popova, Associate Professor, Department of Political Science; Jean Monnet Chair in Europe and the Rule of Law.

Moderated by Derek Cassoff, Managing Director, Communications, University Advancement.

There is no fee for this event but registration is required to view the webcast.
