The Advocats Big Band is a full jazz orchestra comprised of approximately 20 musicians. Led by Henry Gluch, BMus’84, it features McGill alums Rick Blechta, BMus’73; Jeff Fong, BMus’76; and Pamela Homzy-Fong, BMus’74, LMus’75. The band plays swing and jazz standards as well as more recent favourites arranged for the big band. Don McLean, Dean of the Schulich School of Music, will be in the audience, so come by to say hello and hear some toe-tapping tunes.
