Religion and the Public Sphere: Fall 2009 Lecture Series

Come hear experts discuss questions such as: What is the place of religion in the public sphere? What, if any, is the role of religion in political life and institutions? Should the citizens of a modern liberal democracy keep secular and religious considerations wholly and entirely separate?
Offered as a series of seven lectures of 50 minutes to one hour in length followed by a half-hour open discussion; each lecture will be followed by a reception held in the foyer of the Birks Building.
