Through groundbreaking research and collaboration, McGill is leading the way in understanding the brain, and treating and preventing mental illness and neurological disorders.

Join three of McGill's top researchers from the Faculty of Medicine, the Ludmer Centre for Neuroinformatics & Mental Health, and The Neuro as they share their latest findings on the brain and mental health and how these important discoveries can impact our lives.   

The presentations will be followed by a panel discussion delving deeper into the relationship between mental health and brain health, and the implications for our society.

Speakers:

Kieran O'Donnell
Epigenetics researcher for the Ludmer Centre and the Douglas Research Centre and Assistant Professor in McGill's Department of Psychiatry.
Professor O'Donnell will discuss the lifelong impact of maternal health before, during and after pregnancy on child health and the need for early intervention.

Lesley Fellows, BSc'90, MDCM'96
Neuroscientist and neurologist at The Neuro and Vice-Dean, Academic Affairs in the Faculty of Medicine.
Professor Fellows will discuss the relationship between chronic illnesses, mental health and brain damage.

Edward Fon, MD'95
Professor in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery and Scientific Director of The Neuro.
Professor Fon will discuss the quest to understand and treat Parkinson's disease and other degenerative diseases.
