The Cundill History Prize in Toronto

Wednesday, October 16, 2019
6 PM to 8 PM

Join the twice Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Alan Taylor, Chair of the Jury, as he announces the three finalists for the leading international history prize at this exclusive event at Massey College, Toronto.

Following the announcement, Alan Taylor will be in conversation with Professor Robert Bothwell, May Gluskin Chair in Canadian History at the University of Toronto. Chaired by Antonia Maioni, Dean of the Faculty of Arts at McGill University, this timely conversation will consider "Canada and the United States: the Past of the Present."

The US$75,000 Cundill History Prize rewards the best history-writing in
English. We celebrate the work of historians that turn outstanding scholarship into beautifully told narratives that stimulate, excite and challenge us.

The overall winner will be announced at the Cundill History Prize Gala in Montreal on November 14.

Please register at your earliest convenience as seating is limited.
