What will it take to increase our sustainability and make our planet greener? Join McGill for a fascinating look into the unique research and sustainability-focused projects being undertaken on campus and by alumni. Dr. Heather McShane of the McGill Sustainability Systems Initiative will lead a panel discussion with Prof. Audrey Moores, an expert in green chemistry who is making biodegradable plastic using lobster shells, a PhD student, who is exploring ways of reducing the impact of discarded technology and a mining company CEO and alumnus, who is using sustainable methods for mining rare materials.

The McGill Sustainability Systems Initiative takes a multi-disciplinary, multi-sector approach to sustainability, bringing together experts from across McGill's faculties, and providing support and seed funding for transdisciplinary teams to tackle some of the most complex and challenging issues in sustainability.
