Join us to usher in the next era of the Desautels Faculty of Management! Mark your calendar for May 25-26, 2018.

Because of amazing alumni support, we have a lot to celebrate. You are invited to see the new Donald E. Armstrong Building and the next era of the Desautels Faculty of Management.  Formerly the McGill bookstore, the Donald E. Armstrong Building is 48,000 square feet of new space for our BCom and Masters students, boosting the Faculty's footprint by almost 20%.

Come see the first McGill infrastructure project that has been entirely funded through donor support in many decades.

"If We All Hate Business Jargon, Why Do We Keep Using It?"
with Professor André Spicer, Cass Business School

Our organizations are flooded with empty talk. We are constantly "going forward" to lands of "deliverables", stopping off on the "journey" to "drill down" into "best practice". Being an expert at using management speak has become more important in corporate life than delivering long lasting results. The upshot is that meaningless corporate jargon is killing our organizations.

12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Lunch entertainment with Nour Hadidi, BCom'10 (Donald E. Armstrong Building)

One of the hottest comedians on the international circuit, Nour is a Toronto-based comedian who has been featured locally on the CBC News, FLARE Magazine and was picked as one of four comedians to watch in 2016 by the Toronto Star. She is a writing contributor to CBC Comedy, and is a writer for the political satire shows The Beaverton on the Comedy Network and This Hour has 22 Minutes on the CBC. She has opened for Josh Gondelman, Jackie Kashian, Wendy Liebman, Jermaine Fowler, Eliza Skinner, Steve Patterson, David Pryde, and K. Trevor Wilson.
