Annual New York Holiday Party featuring Gail Simmons

Wednesday, November 29, 2017
6 PM to 8 PM EST

Want to find out the ingredients of a successful culinary career? Then don't forget to register for the McGill Annual New York Holiday Party on Wednesday, November 29, when we'll be joined by special guest Gail Simmons, BA'98, from Bravo's Top Chef. This year's event, at the Convene, will feature the McGill grad and foodie extraordinaire talking all things culinary with fellow McGill alumna, Helen Baldus, BA'94, a New York-based public relations specialist in the food, beverage and hospitality industries.

Since getting her start as a student food critic for a campus newspaper, Gail has risen to great heights in the culinary world. She has trained with some of North America's top chefs, written for Food & Wine magazine, and is a judge on BRAVO's Emmy-winning series Top Chef. Gail is also Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Babson College, where she helps student entrepreneurs develop food-related social enterprises.

Gail will discuss how she turned her passion for food into a successful career and the challenges that women face in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Come meet and reconnect with fellow McGillians at this always popular and festive cocktail.

Gail's first cookbook, Bringing it Home: Favorite Recipes from a Life of Adventurous Eating, was recently released and will be available for sale at the event:
