A concert by acclaimed pianist Sara Laimon (New York alumni branch)

Sara Laimon, a professor at McGill’s Schulich School of Music, performs a pair of American Modernism’s signature works, the Copland Sonata and the Ives Concord Sonata, both dating from 1939. While Laimon performed Copland’s Sonata (along with Ives’s First Sonata) on a critically acclaimed 2001 album, this concert marks her first performance of the Concord Sonata. Following the concert, she will be available to meet McGill alums in attendance!
