Container Gardening: How to create the garden you want when you don't have much space

Tuesday, May 3, 2016
6 PM to 8 PM

Container gardening, or "potscaping" as it has come to be known, is becoming a favorite form of gardening. This is not surprising, since container gardening requires very little space and maintenance and offers everything that an in-ground garden affords, like color, form, fragrance and texture. No matter what you prefer to plant - flowers, veggies or herbs - you can plant some version of it in a container garden.

Following the huge success of Gardening 101 and Seed Gardening, the McGill Society of Montreal is pleased to welcome back Plant Science Ph.D. student Christie Lovat, who will teach you everything you need to know to create your own container garden. Learn how to help plants thrive, from starting a mini vegetable gardening to planting a decorative urn or hanging basket.

Christie will show you have to make the most of your limited space so you get the best out of the summer months.
