Presented by the McGill Alumni Association in collaboration with the Suzuki Foundation.

When Mountains Move is a riveting multimedia presentation revealing the Anthropocene revolution through Mr. Balog's unique global perspective as an environmental photographer, scientist, and mountaineer.

A revolution in human perception is underway, yet few of us know about it. We are in the process of realizing that Homo sapiens are permanently altering the basic operating system of the planet. These impacts are changing the biology, chemistry, and physics of air, water, and fire, as well as the fundamental ecological relationships of plants and animals. In recognition of these ongoing changes, science has coined a new word, "Anthropocene," to describe our current epoch of geologic time.
