Dr. John Cheh is the Vice Chairman and CEO of Esquel Group, a prominent manufacturer of over 110 million cotton shirts annually for leading brands including Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Nike, Hugo Boss, Lacoste, Muji, as well as Esquel's own brand, PYE. He holds a BA (Honours) degree in Economics and Political Science from McGill University, a PhD in Economics from M.I.T., and an Honourary LLD from the University of Western Ontario.

Prior to his present role at Esquel, Dr. Cheh had been President of Bombardier China, President of Bell Canada International (Asia), a civil servant with the Government of Canada's Treasury Board and Privy Council Office, as well as a diplomat with the Canadian Department of External Affairs and International Trade, with postings in Beijing, Seoul and Tokyo.

In this enlightening talk, Dr. Cheh will share, after graduating from McGill, how he moved from economic policy, trade negotiations, telecom M&A's, planes & trains to sewing shirts.
