Leo’s War: From Gaspé to Vimy (Ottawa alumni branch)

Wednesday, October 29, 2008
6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

On October 29, the McGill Alumni Association of Ottawa invites you to a "War and Remembrance" lecture by one of our own, Gordon Pimm, BCom’50. His book, "Leo’s War: From Gaspe to Vimy", is based on family correspondence recounting the story of his uncle who served in the 24th Victoria Rifles of the Canadian Expeditionary Force during WWI.

The book has received excellent reviews and was profiled during a live CBC interview from Vimy on Easter Sunday 2007. "Leo’s War" is also featured in the upcoming National Film Board documentary "Front Line", produced to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the signing of the armistice that ended the war.
