Journey of the Senses

Saturday, June 20, 2015
10:30 AM to 2:30 PM

Join us on a Journey of the Senses as we explore the fine wine and craft beer produced at Niagara College Canada!

Our journey begins with a tour and tasting at the Niagara College Teaching Winery and Teaching Brewery from 10:30am-12:00pm. Facilities at the college include the Teaching Winery production facility that operates not only as a full winery producing award-winning wines but also serves as an educational centre for future winemakers.

Niagara College has expanded and improved the Teaching Brewery to accommodate a greater number of students and has truly set the stage for the local craft brewery explosion in the region.

You will be guided by a knowledgeable representative through a testing and sensory lesson as you sample wine and beer at the Education Centre tasting bar.

Lunch will be provided at the Benchmark Restaurant with an option between two set menus both of which celebrate beautifully grown Ontarian produce.

A tour of the Culinary Innovation and Food Technology labs follows lunch from 1:30am-2:30pm - the tour will be conducted by a member of the Research and Innovation Centre and part of her discussion will include recently conducted projects on site.
