New to this year's tour, an inside look of the Mary Emily facility that was established to conduct human nutrition experimentation using precisely controlled diets. Professor Hope Weiler, Canada Research Chair in Nutrition, Development and Aging will explain and demonstrate some of the trials taking place at the clinic. Then we take a short walk at the Arboretum with possible fungi finding followed by a tour of the Macdonald Farm where you will learn about the plans for the new Macdonald Community Engagement Centre. A bus will be provided for the tours and will depart from the Centennial Centre at 2:30pm.

Cette année, la visite s'enrichit d'un arrêt à l'Unité Mary Emily créée en vue d'expérimentation en nutrition humaine au moyen de régimes contrôlés rigoureusement. La professeure Hope Weiler, titulaire d'une Chaire de recherche du Canada en nutrition, développement et vieillissement expliquera certains des essais effectués à la clinique. Suivront une courte marche vers l'Arboretum avec repérage possible de champignons et une visite de la Ferme Macdonald où vous entendrez parler des plans pour le nouveau Centre de rayonnement communautaire Macdonald.

L'autobus prévu pour les visites partira du Centre du centenaire à 14 h 30.
