McGill Alumni Association of the UK Signature Event (England alumni branch)

Tuesday, May 21, 2013
6:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Join your fellow UK alumni for a signature event - a cocktail reception featuring special guests from McGill and a keynote address by Lord (Gordon) Wasserman, BA'59. Come and meet Christopher Manfredi, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and Marc Weinstein, Vice-Principal (Development and Alumni Relations), and learn the latest news about McGill. This will be a great opportunity to network with your fellow alumni, share stories about McGill and Montreal, and maybe even catch up on the Habs' season.

From growing up in Montreal to sitting in the House of Lords in London, Lord Wasserman will discuss his career and the part that McGill played in that trajectory. He will also explain the thinking behind the introduction of Police and Crime Commissioners in England and Wales, a policy with which he has been very closely associated, and why he believes that these Commissioners will make the country safer.

Enter through the Trafalgar Square Entrance. All guests must bring along photo ID.
