If Trees Could Talk

Sunday, February 17, 2013
2 PM to 4 PM

A monthly tree talk and walk inspired by Bronwyn Chester's Island of Trees.

This first monthly tree talk features the Jack Pine, a local conifer that Bronwyn wrote about
in her Gazette column Island of Trees. The story of the Jack Pine will be presented bilingually by Gregg Staniforth, Agent Technique en arboriculture et horticulture, Division des parcs et des installations, Côte Des Neiges\Notre Dame de Grâce, and will be followed by a brief walk to the courtyard of Stewart Biology building where a young Jack Pine was planted last year. A letter press limited edition broadside of the Jack Pine article written by Bronwyn Chester and printed on paper donated by Papetrie St-Armand will be available with a minimum $15 contribution to the Bronwyn Chester Tree Fund.

Everyone welcome. In English.

Organized by Annie-Lou Chester and McGill Science Outreach. In collaboration with Société Internationale d'Arboriculture-Quebec inc. (SIAQ).
