Study Groups and Lectures: Feeding the World

Tuesday, January 15, 2013
11:45 AM to 1:45 PM

As history has shown, adequate food supply is key to the survival of civilizations. With an ever-growing population, food security now faces enormous challenges: climate change, water scarcity, dwindling land resources and demand for biofuels. How can corporations and governments, and we as individuals, work toward providing sufficient nutritious and affordable food in an environmentally and socially sustainable manner?

Participants are expected to make presentations of about 30 minutes and take part in discussion. Topics can include historical, cultural, geographical, scientific, ecological or political issues. A suggested list will be available in advance from the moderators.
