Study Groups and Lectures: Recent Canadian Literature

Tuesday, January 15, 2013
11:45 AM to 1:45 PM

In the latest of their annual CanLit study groups Andrew and Robbie are focusing on recent Canadian fiction. The book list has been largely chosen by previous participants. Books selected to date are listed below; other selections will be emailed to participants well before the start of term. Moral Disorder by Margaret Atwood, 2006; The Cat's Table by Michael Ondaatje, 2011; Curiosity by Joan Thomas, 2010; Half-Blood Blues by Esi Edugyan, 2011; Room by Emma Donoghue, 2010; Nikolski byNicolas Dickner, 2005/2008; Bury Your Dead by Louise Penny, 2010.

Participants will be expected to give a presentation on one of the selected books or authors (or another book by one of the authors). Getting an early start on reading the books would be advantageous.
