Tuesday, January 15, 2013
Tuesday, January 15, 2013
2 PM to 4 PM
Each week we will watch a video from one of the following influential Oxford-style forums of debate. We will then discuss the debates. (Intelligence Squared U.S. (www.iq2us.org) attracts some of the world's top thinkers, with 100,000-plus monthly followers. The Doha Debates (www.thedohadebates.com) have become the Middle East's forum of choice for many prominent statesmen. Televised by BBC World News, its website receives more than a million hits a month.) We will debate motions on economy, education, politics, religion, sex, society, etc. So bring your artillery and get ready for some stimulating and civil debates!
