The McGill Alumni Association and 1st Up: McGill's First Generation Peer Support Group are hosting a First Gen networking mixer. Alumni and current students who identify as first generation -  the first in your immediate family to pursue post-secondary education in Canada or if you were a youth in or coming from care - are invited to attend, connect and share their experiences.

The evening will be an informal opportunity for first generation alumni to meet with and offer guidance to current first generation students, who have specifically identified the need for more networking and mentoring experiences. Topics of discussion may include: the university experience, transitioning to the "real-world" after graduation, career paths, and/or graduate studies. 

Facilitators will be onsite to ensure flow of conversations and to provide ice-breaker activities. Any discipline or career path is welcome!
